PUMPKIN SEED OIL HAS BEEN PRESSED AT THE PELZMANN OIL MILL IN THE SOUTHERN STYRIAN VILLAGE OF WAGNA SINCE THE MID-1930S. THE FAMILY BUSINESS WAS FOUNDED BY FRANZ PELZMANN I.
In the late 1960s Franz Pelzmann III., his grandson, started to distribute Pelzmann oils across all of Austria. Today, the family business is managed by his two sons, Klaus and Gregor Pelzmann.
Their aim is to further develop Pelzmann based on innovative ideas and to lead the family business to new successes. What originated as a small family business has now become a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, and a global leader on the pumpkin seed oil market.

Exports have been stepped up continuously in the past years. For this reason, Klaus and Gregor Pelzmann want to focus not only on Austria but on international sales as well, familiarising consumers with the unique taste experience of pumpkin seed oil. Pelzmann’s mission is to further raise customers’ awareness for the diversity of pumpkin seed oil. Pumpkin seed oil – up to now mainly used in salads – is to be re-defined as a precious culinary gem, capable of spicing up dishes in multiple ways.
